How to Require a Passing Grade
What is the Passing Grade Requirement?
ConveYour includes a "must pass" feature for Lessons. This feature is best used with Challenge Question engagements and reinforces learning retention in two key ways:
Immediate Review – If a learner answers incorrectly, they must review the content and attempt the question again before progressing.
Repetition for Retention – The more learners engage with key information, the more likely they are to remember it.
Setting Up a Required Passing Grade
The Passing Grade Required feature ensures that learners must achieve a minimum score before they can proceed. Follow these steps to enable it:
1. Add a Challenge Question to a Lesson
To require a passing grade, your lesson must include at least one of the following engagement types:
Challenge Questions
Order Challenges
Missing Words Quiz

3. Set the Passing Percentage
Enter the minimum percentage required to pass.
Example:
If a learner answers incorrectly on the first attempt but correctly on the second, their score is 82%.
If 100% accuracy is required, set the passing percentage to 100%.
If you want to allow some margin for error, set the passing percentage to 75% or another preferred threshold.
4. Customize the Failure Message
Enter a failure message to encourage learners to try again.
(Optional) Enable Animated GIF Feedback
The system randomly selects from a set of humorous GIFs to make the retry experience more engaging.
At this time, custom GIFs are not supported.
