How Do Portal Sections Work?
Why Use Portal Sections?
Portal sections help organize campaigns into structured categories, making it easier for learners to navigate content. By breaking down information into digestible parts, sections:
Allow learners to focus on one topic at a time.
Improve comprehension and retention.
Enable self-paced learning with easy access to specific topics.
Streamline onboarding and training processes.
How to Create Portal Sections
To manage portal sections:
Navigate to Main Menu > Settings > Other Settings > Portal Design & Branding > Portal Sections.
You will see four default sections. These are intended to get you started, and can be edited to suit the needs of your particular account.
To modify a section:
Click the gear icon to rename or delete it.
Drag and drop using the hamburger icon to reorder.
Click Add Another to create a new section.
Portal sections apply across all teams and departments within an organization. They allow content to be organized based on learner progression, such as onboarding stages or skill levels.
Example Use Case: A New Sales Rep Starting Training
HR assigns an "Intro to Our Culture" campaign under basics.
The sales team assigns a "Sales Knowledge Assessment" campaign under basics.
If the rep scores high on the assessment, they are automatically enrolled in the "Advanced Sales Techniques" course under a different section.
How to Add a Campaign to a Portal Section
To assign a campaign to a specific section:
Go to the Learner Portal tab within the campaign settings.
Select a Portal Section from the dropdown menu. This list reflects sections created in the account-level portal settings.
